About Power Fitness
Power Fitness was set up in 2021 by Robert Power. Robert holds qualifications in personal training and nutrition and has extensive experience in weight management and fat loss. Robert is a passionate and dedicated personal trainer and finds fulfilment in helping others achieve their personal fitness and nutrition goals.
"One of the hardest things was picking up the phone on Day 1 to contact Rob. I needed accountability, I might have lost some weight and got a bit fitter on my own but now to the extent I am now. Since I spoke to him at Xmas 2022, he has been brilliant. He has given me the time, help, advice, suggestions, and encouragement to achieve what I was not sure I could have achieved. It has been a very tough but enjoyable few months, I have completely changed my outlook on food and exercise. I cut out all the unhealthy foods and started a diet of healthy foods. I went from, from the one-on-one classes with Rob, to walking 5k each day, to jogging 5k a couple of times per week. The weight started dropping, the waist got smaller, I felt fitter and stronger. From early on in this journey, the cravings for unhealthy foods stopped and I was happy to eat healthy foods at the right times in the right quantities. I am now in a position where I can go out and exercise without feeling under pressure, I started doing 5k Park Runs and even completed the Conquer the Castle Challenge in June, I would not have been able to do them on my own"
"I have been working with Rob online through the app over that last 4 months and have seen massive results in energy and change in body composition. A few pounds piled on over lockdown and bad eating habits set in so it was time for a change to coincide with a new job. We worked on a plan that I could commit to which allowed enjoying a nice meal and few beers out on the weekend and none of that changed over the last few months,what we did incorporate was new healthy nutritional habits that gave me more energy and a specific resistance and hiit programme that was carried out at home and in a gym more recently. Something manageable where I don’t have an excuse not to get it done. "I had done the 'good eating' and joining gyms thing plenty times but always packed it in at an early stage. Unless a ball was in front of me I had no real interest in exercising. After several recommendations I contacted Rob 3 months ago and have been training with him twice a week on a 1to1 basis. In that time I have maintained a loss of 1 stone, 14.5st to 13.5st (even though that was not the primary goal). Not once did I need to count calories - Rob's vast knowledge of nutrition and ability to explain all aspects of nutrition is second to none and ensures you enjoy what you’re eating. He is able to tell what your limits are from an early stage (you don't really know!) and he is able to get you beyond that to that next level and push your goals. He was always on the end of the phone to answer any questions and was more than happy to work around time constraints on my end. I'm almost finished my block with Rob, overall, I cannot recommend highly enough. I feel the best I've felt in a long time and that is thanks to Rob. I now use a gym close to work (now knowing what I'm doing in there) but will continue to check in with Rob regularly, continuing to review where I'm at and setting goals.
